Try It Together Tuesday: Behind My Mask

August 4, 2020, Katie Sobolewski

It’s time for another “Try it Together Tuesday,” where we share new ideas on ways to interact with your Little! This week’s idea comes from our BBBS Free Arts Instagram. Across Minnesota, many children will be going back to school while wearing masks to keep themselves and others safe. Bigs can help their Littles take this experience from scary to super by following along with this fun art tutorial.

Behind My Mask: A Super Kid Self Portrait!

Directions:
1. Fold your paper in half.
2. Fold one side of the paper in half again to create a flap.
3. Draw the top of your head on the top of the paper above the crease.
4. Draw your chin and mask on the flap. Make sure it covers your nose!
5. Open it up and draw your smile, chin, neck, and whatever else you want to add!
6. Add positive words that describe you!
7. Add color!

Wear a mask but don’t let it hide your personality! ????

Don’t forget to post (with your Little’s parent or guardian’s permission) to our Facebook or Instagram profiles and use the hashtag #KeepKidsConnected to highlight all the fun you’re having! Follow Free Arts on Instagram @bbbsfreearts.
