String Art Simplified!
String art is all the rage, and a super fun way to make personalized décor! This tutorial from Infarrantly Creative helps you ditch the hammer and create beautiful DIY masterpieces on a budget!
Materials
- Cardboard
- Colorful paper or fabric
- Tape
- Push pins
- Colorful string or yarn
- Scissors
Method
- Cardboard will act as the base. If desired, cover your cardboard in colorful paper or fabric, securing it on the back with tape or pins.
- Print out a free string art pattern, or create one of your own – make sure your pattern fits onto your cardboard base.
- Take your template and put it on top of the base and stick your pins through your template into your paper covered cardboard.
- Once all the pins are pushed in, carefully rip away your template.
- Use your string to wrap around the pins, as dense or sparse as you wish for your desired look.
- Once you’ve finished wrapping the string, cut and tie off the end.
This string art DIY project is a great way to creatively express yourself and is simple enough to be conducted in person or via video chat!
