November Training Series for Caregivers

BBBS is pleased to offer a three-month training series to parents and caregivers in our BBBS programming. Our first monthly training topic will cover Self-Care. This training includes 3 articles (with listening options) and provides families with key discussion points and information to understand the emotional and physical stresses of caregivers, as well as offering suggestions on how to help stay healthy, balanced and committed to their children.

• Why Self-Care Is Essential to Parenting – article and listening option about symptoms of caregiver burnout, what parents/caregivers can do to take care of themselves, and finding out more about Access to Respite Care and Help (ARCH) (approx. 10 min)
• Mindful Parenting – article and listening option on using mindfulness techniques to take stress and anxiety out of raising kids (approx. 7 min)
• How Parent Support Groups Can Help – article and listening option about communities who share experiences, comfort and friendship (approx. 7 min)

Please note: you can access these trainings at any time. Registering for this event simply gives BBBS staff a sense of how many families are accessing the training and is not necessary to view the training.
