Transformational Gift from Federated Insurance!

“Emotional, memorable, and magnificent,“ said Julie Rethemeier, Director of Public Affairs & Advertising at Federated Insurance. Those were the three words she used to describe the 2022 Federated Challenge, a two-day gala and golf tournament that has benefitted the three Minnesota Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies since 2005.
Last night’s Board of Directors meeting gave much cause for celebration as everyone joined in a standing ovation when Julie revealed we received a whopping $2.1M from the 2022 Federated Challenge and its 83 sponsor companies. The gift is part of the record-breaking $3.9M raised at this year’s event. In addition to the event’s year-long coordination, Federated Insurance offsets all expenses, so 100% of the money raised through the Federated Challenge goes directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters, and a portion of the proceeds also goes to the Federated Challenge Scholarship.
