Which test is right for me?

Students are faced with many tests throughout their years of schooling, and those who are applying to college often face additional testing requirements.  With the American College Testing (ACT), Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), ACCUPLACER, and more, to it’s important to know what options exist, and which tests may be required when applying to college.

  • The ACT measures skills in the following areas: English, Math, Reading, Science, Writing
  • Cost: $55.00 (no writing) | $70.00 (with writing)
  • The ACT is typically taken by those who plan to apply to 4-year colleges and universities.
  • The SAT measures skills in the following areas: Math, Reading, Writing and Language, Essay Writing
  • Cost: $52.00 (no essay) | $68.00 (with essay)
  • The SAT is typically taken by those who plan to apply to 4-year colleges and universities.
  • The ACCUPLACER measures skills in the following areas: Math, Reading, Writing, Essay Writing
  • Cost: Varies by school
  • The ACCUPLACER is typically taken by those who plan to apply to 2-year colleges and universities.
