Ahoy, future sailors! 🚢 Join us for a hands-on sailing experience on beautiful Bde Maka Ska! Whether you’re a first-time sailor or looking to refine your skills, this event is shore to be a great time! ☀️🌬️
📍 Location: Minneapolis Sailing Center Boathouse – 3010 E Bde Maka Ska Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55408
⏰ Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled in. (10:50AM)
🚗 Parking: No designated lot—please allow time to find nearby street parking.
What to Expect ⛵
👨🏫 Onshore Lesson: Before we hit the waves, our instructors will cover the basics of sailing and review safety guidelines.
🌊 All Aboard! Groups of 5-6 sailors plus an instructor will set sail on our Ensign Keelboats—designed to stay steady and safe. No need to worry about tipping over!
🕒 Sailing Time: Enjoy 1-2 hours on the water sailing and exploring!
🚫 No food will be provided. Please plan accordingly with your Little.
What to Bring 🎒
💦 Quick-dry clothing, UV-protective long sleeves, sunscreen, sunglasses 🕶️, and a wide-brimmed hat 👒 are highly recommended.
👟 Water-friendly shoes or sandals with a back strap (Teva, Chaco, Keen). Flip-flops are not allowed.
💧 Bring a full water bottle to stay cool on deck.
🎒 Small bags can be stored in the Boathouse while you sail.

- While you may get splashed, you won’t need to swim.
