Four Ways You Can Help Kids During the Coronavirus Pandemic

March 24, 2020 , Jennifer Severson

Many of our Littles face adversity every day – opportunity gaps, food and housing instability, and more. The Coronavirus pandemic presents a whole new set of challenges.

Our mission is built on the strength of relationships. Together, we can each do our part to ensure the health and safety of our Littles’ until they can return to their normal school and home routines.

Today, we need your unwavering support. Here are four easy ways for you to help Twin Cities kids reach their potential – in the weeks, months and years to come.

  1. Donate today. Now more than ever, it is crucial for Big Brothers Big Sisters to connect families to the resources they need and to innovate our programming to reach our youth in this time of social distancing. Make a gift today to ensure this critical work continues.

  2. Volunteer. Stand up for a young person in our community. Volunteer now and we’ll match you in the months to come. We’ll help you explore our four program areas to find the right fit for your unique strengths and your schedule. Sign up for an online info session or schedule a 15-minute call with our team.

  3. Use AmazonSmile. Doing more online shopping these days? When shopping Amazon, use smile.amazon.com and choose Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities (our legal name) as your preferred charity. Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible Amazon purchases to BBBS Twin Cities. Every little bit counts!

  4. Cast your Target Circle votes for BBBS Twin Cities. We’re participating in the Target Circle program until the end of March. You can vote for us and help direct Target’s giving to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities. Learn more about Target Circle on Target’s corporate website.  If you’d like help voting or have questions, contact Micaela Olson-Macgregor at molson@bigstwincities.org or 651-789-2431.
