"The Annual Gala is one of the best charity functions in the Twin Cities. Feel the rhythm with more than 500 corporate leaders, community leaders and Big Brothers Big Sisters advocates as we celebrate the power of mentoring, honor our friends and volunteers and challenge the Twin Cities to Start Something on behalf of children in our community who are facing adversity.
Tim Decker, a nationally touring speed performance artist, will be painting two pictures live during the Gala. You won’t want to miss this high energy show and the chance to bid on these paintings. Other Ways to Get Involved Corporate Sponsorships Please consider partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities to support mentoring in our communities by becoming a sponsor for the 2012 Gala. For every $1 you invest in Big Brothers Big Sisters, you get a $2.72 return on your investment. A variety of sponsorship levels are available each complete with a special set of benefits. Gala sponsors will receive recognition at the Gala and on our web site. Lead sponsors can receive up to 28,000 impressions on the web alone. Live and Silent Auction Donations Please partner with us to make this event a success by donating an item to our silent or live auction. Your participation provides a wonderful opportunity to exhibit community involvement and gain visibility. Donated auction items garner multiple bids and typically go for above retail value – raising significant funds to support our mentoring programs. All donors will be recognized in our auction program distributed to all guests; posted on our website; and recognized in the 2012 annual report. We are looking for a wide variety items, including tickets to sporting events, concerts or the theater; gift certificates for restaurants, salons, shopping, etc.; and, of course themed gift baskets.
